Rideau Community Health Services supports eligible individuals to access basic dental care through our dental programs and by helping clients connect with publicly funded dental coverage.
Our services may include checkups, cleanings, X-rays, emergency exams, fillings, extractions, and fluoride treatments. Some services, such as crowns, bridges, implants, whitening, root canals, and dentures, may not be covered or may have limited availability.
Dental Programs and Coverage Options
RCHS offers support through several dental programs and publicly funded coverage options.
RCHS Accessible Dental Program
This program provides urgent dental care and dental hygiene services for eligible adults who do not have dental insurance or other dental benefits.
You may be eligible if you:
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Do not have private dental insurance
- Meet the income eligibility requirements
Please note: Eligibility for one dental program does not necessarily prevent you from accessing another. If you are enrolled in the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), Ontario Works (OW), or the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), we encourage you to contact us to discuss your options.
To learn more or begin the process, call our dental line at 613-283-1086 or toll-free at 1-844-973-1400.
Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program
The Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program provides dental coverage for eligible low-income seniors.
You may be eligible if you:
- Are 65 years of age or older
- Are a resident of Ontario
- Meet the income eligibility requirements
- Do not have private dental insurance
Please note: Individuals enrolled in the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) may still be eligible for the Ontario Senior's Dental Care Program.
If you have already received your Ontario Dental Card, or need help completing the application, call our dental line at 613-283-1086 or toll-free at 1-844-973-1400.
Canadian Dental Care Plan
The Canadian Dental Care Plan is a federal dental benefit for eligible Canadian residents who do not have access to dental insurance.
