About the Lung Health Program

The Lung Health Program is delivered by ConnectWell Community Health. The ConnectWell Lung Health and Rehabilitation Program consists of assessment, spirometry (breathing test), education, the development of an action plan and follow-up care for clients with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) or asthma. When someone is referred to the lung health program, they will be seen by a Registered Respiratory Therapist/Certified Respiratory Educator (CRE) who will help you understand and manage your symptoms.

ConnectWell also provides an exercise rehabilitation program designed for people living with cardiac disease or COPD in partnership with the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. Programming is offered in Perth, Almonte, Kemptville & Barry’s Bay. The three components of the exercise program include: exercise, education and support. Participating in the program aims to decrease symptoms and increase ability to function in daily life.
