About Diabetes Education Program (DEP)

Our team of dietitians and nurse educators provide education and self-management support to adults living with diabetes or pre-diabetes. We offer both individual and group programs. Education sessions are also available to community organizations and health care providers upon request. Services are provided in our three locations as well as outreach locations throughout Lanark, Leeds and Grenville.

Our Diabetes Education Team, comprised of Certified Diabetes Educators (CDE's), can work with your healthcare provided to design an personalized diabetes care plan to help you live a healthy life with diabetes.

Diabetes Starter Group

A basic diabetes education class, facilitated by both a registered nurse and registered dietitian. Designed to provide information on basic diabetes topics, as well as encourage questions and answers from participants. For newly diagnosed diabetes or a diabetes education refresher for people with longstanding diabetes.
