About the Telemedicine Program
Using video-conferencing you can visit a doctor, specialist, or other health care provider closer to home. A nurse is available to assist you and the provider during the appointment (for example to check your blood pressure). Telemedicine Services can be used for many types of medical visits, saving you time and money. Some of the types of appointments that can be done by video conferencing are visits with your heart, kidney and cancer specialists, psychiatrists, dietitian, pre-op assessments. These visits are secure and use Ontario Health Virtual Visit technology. Services are provided at our Smiths Falls, Merrickville and Brockville sites as well as outreach locations throughout Leeds, Grenville, and Lanark.
